Bird Cage Chess Set

The Bird Cage Chess Board is a unique chess set inspired by the traditional game of chess. However, unlike traditional chess boards, this board is a large golden birdcage housing 64 intricately sculpted birds. These birds represent the pieces of the chess game, arranged in four rows perched on wooden bars, as if engaged in a magnificent battle within the confines of the birdcage.
Among them, different birds represent different roles: parrots are the king and queen, sparrows are the pawns. The chessboard is the bird droppings at the bottom.
The work was selected in Dèbut 24 Gallery Show, School of Visual Arts, 2024.
